Brisbane Lions officials have confirmed that midfielder Claye Beams has fractured his foot after scans yesterday morning.
The injury was sustained in the Lions practice match against the Sydney Swans last Saturday.
Beams had surgery last night, and will approximatley miss up to eight weeks of football.
Saturday’s match was only Beams’ second match back from a ruptured ACL he sustained early in the 2013 season, which required him to have a full knee reconstruction.
How big of a loss is Claye Beams is to the Lions?
Who will replace him in the midfield?
