Brisbane midfielder Dayne Beams will return against Port Adelaide on Sunday, playing his first AFL game since round 18 last year.

The Lions made two changes to the side that almost upset Sydney, adding Beams and Josh Schache at the expense of 2014 Rising Star Lewis Taylor and Liam Dawson.

Beams, who won the Lions' best and fairest in 2015, underwent off-season shoulder surgery but was then sidelined with knee tendinitis.

Port also made two changes, dumping Dougal Howard and Sam Gray to recall Chad Wingard and Jackson Trengove.

St Kilda named an unchanged side for their Etihad Stadium clash with North Melbourne.

The ladder-leading Kangaroos called up Robin Nahas and Mason Wood for Sunday's game against St Kilda, having been forced to omit Lindsay Thomas (suspension) and Kayne Turner (hamstring).

Greater Western Sydney, who face Fremantle in Perth on Sunday, predictably retained the 22 players that thumped reigning premiers Hawthorn.

The Dockers promoted Garrick Ibbotson, Nick Suban and Ethan Hughes; axing Zac Clarke, Darcy Tucker and Brady Grey.
