Tom Rockliff's manager insists the Brisbane captain will remain with the Lions until the end of the 2017 AFL season.
Rockliff still has 18 months to run on his contract, however reports have suggested he could be headed to the Crows after the end of this season.
"I wouldn't have thought so," Tom Petroro told SEN radio on Friday when asked whether Rockliff was moving.
Petroro said he expected to resume contract talks with the Lions in the near future.
"We started those at the start of the year. We parked them until the end of footy season," he said.
"I assume we'll pick them up over the coming weeks."
Petroro also said the Crows might have trouble bringing another star player to the club.
"They have got their own issues retaining their own players," he said.
"So I'd doubt they'd be in the market trying to get others when they've got two out-of-contract blokes that they've got to retain."
When asked whether he'd spoken to the Crows about Rockliff, Petroro said "no, not at this stage".
